LL47 The Söliditi™ 11cm USG Stainless Steel Knife | ETA TBA (Update posted: Monday, 7th of September 2026)

The Castings Have Arrived!

After a painfully long time held in customs, we’re very pleased to share that the Söliditi™ knife castings have finally arrived with our team.

Cast and shipped by our specialist casting factory in the USA, they are every bit as stunning as we knew they would be. It has certainly been a bumpy process getting them here, but seeing the castings in person has made the wait worthwhile.

What happens next?

The castings will now be ground and forged. During this stage, some of the original 15cm castings will be precision laser-cut to morph them into the final 12cm Choppa design.

Once this work is complete, the knives will travel to Sydney for professional heat treatment. From there, they’ll return to our subcontractor on the Sunshine Coast for final sharpening, finishing and preparation for packaging and shipping to you.

There are still several important stages ahead:

  1. Grinding, forging and laser cutting
  2. Heat treatment in Sydney
  3. Final sharpening and finishing on the Sunshine Coast
  4. Packaging and shipping to backers

Thank you for sticking with us through this longer and bumpier-than-anticipated production journey. We’re thrilled with how the castings have turned out and can’t wait to see them transformed into the finished Söliditi™ knives.

LL40 The Modulä Knife System & Sharpener & LL42: The Complete Modulä Sharpening System | ETA/TBA (Update posted: Monday, 27th of April, 2026)

Good afternoon,

Our apologies for the late update, we've been waiting on a substantial tooling update from our production partner, one with some substance. Per our last update — we were hopeful for the first off-tool samples by now, though this hasn't come to fruition. Our Sydney production partner is on the case with their toolmaker and is constantly insisting urgency. Our partner does assure us that the toolmaker has been working on things preparing for machining.

The two fixed half cavity inserts have been mounted onto a plate for machining. As soon as we have off-tool samples, you will be the first to know — currently it is set to early May. We do ask to please trust the process. We are doing the best we can with updates, which is all reliant on receiving them from our production partners.

Thank you again for backing local manufacturing, and for your patience as we work to deliver this properly whilst supporting local toolmakers and production facilities.
