Everything you need to know about 22cm Stainless Steel Sauteuse

Do they work on induction?

Yes! Every Solidteknics pan is induction-compatible, and works just as well on gas, electric, ceramic, oven, BBQ and campfire. One pan, every heat source.


Is there a coating? Are they non-toxic?

No coating at all. No PFAS, no PTFE, nothing synthetic to scratch or chip into your food. Just clean Aussie iron seasoned with non-gmo rice bran oil. Nothing to wear out, nothing to worry about. Just a low-stick surface that gets better every time you cook!

Can you put them in the dishwasher?

Yep — nöni is dishwasher safe. It's stainless steel with no seasoning to protect, so it handles the dishwasher happily. (Our AUS-ION iron range is hand-wash only.)

What are nöni pans made from?

A custom non-nickel stainless steel. Unlike standard 18/10 stainless, it's not nickel-alloyed (just a tiny trace from the steelmaking process), and it's naturally magnetic — so it's induction-ready without any bonded, multi-layer construction.

What makes nöni stainless steel different to common stainless steel?

Most stainless cookware is "18/10" — and that 10 is nickel, a heavy metal that can leach into food and is a common allergen. nöni is non-nickel ferritic stainless instead. It's also naturally magnetic, so it works straight on induction without the bonded, multi-layer base that ordinary stainless pans rely on.
