Is there a coating? Are they non-toxic?

No coating at all. No PFAS, no PTFE, nothing synthetic to scratch or chip into your food. Just clean Aussie iron seasoned with non-gmo rice bran oil. Nothing to wear out, nothing to worry about. Just a low-stick surface that gets better every time you cook!

What are AUS-ION pans made from?

Clean Australian wrought iron, forged from a single sheet. No coatings, no PFAS or PTFE, no aluminium core, no rivets or joins — just pure iron and a natural rice bran oil seasoning. That's it.

Are they non-stick?

Yes - they arrive with a baked-on layer of seasoning, so they're ready to cook from the first use. Like any iron pan, the best results come down to the right heat and a little oil or fat, and the surface only gets more non-stick the more you cook.

AUS-ION or nöni — what's the difference?

AUS-ION is seasoned iron: great for frying, searing and roasting, hand-wash only. nöni is non-nickel stainless: dishwasher safe, no seasoning, and better for tomato, wine and other wet or acidic dishes. Both Aussie made and induction-ready.
