Australian-Made Iron Woks for Fast, High-Heat Cooking

Solidteknics woks and bombées are curved, high-heat cookware made in Sydney from clean Australian wrought iron. Each is formed from a single sheet of metal with no coatings, no rivets and no joins, with a handle forged from the same piece as the pan.

AUS-ION™ woks are lighter-gauge 2.5mm iron for fast heating, so the surface comes up to temperature quickly for searing and stir-frying, and is easy to lift and toss. A natural, renewable seasoning builds the smooth, slick surface high-heat wok cooking relies on, and many arrive with a Quenched™ head start.

Naturally magnetic and fully induction compatible, the woks also work on gas, oven, BBQ and campfire. Hand wash only and dried after washing, backed by a multi-century warranty.

AUS-ION or nöni — what's the difference?

AUS-ION is seasoned iron: ideal for frying, searing and roasting. Saucy and acidic foods can strip the seasoning, particularly if your seasoning is young, though it's always fixable!

nöni is non-nickel stainless: dishwasher safe, no seasoning, and better for tomato, wine and other wet or acidic dishes. Both Aussie made and induction-ready.

Can your woks be used on induction?

Yes! Our woks have a flat bottom, meaning they can be used on all heat sources from induction, gas, oven to campfire.

Can you put them in the dishwasher?

Yep — nöni is dishwasher safe. It's stainless steel with no seasoning to protect, so it handles the dishwasher happily. (Our AUS-ION iron range is hand-wash only.)

What's the warranty on Solidteknics cookware?

Is there a coating? Are they non-toxic?
