What is the Protein Press?
The Protein Press is a two-piece set made from 4mm wrought iron, designed to help you cook proteins and veggies more evenly. It works by applying consistent weight to your food, helping achieve faster cooking, better sear, and locked-in flavour.
- 420g Protein Press — ideal for even cooking of a wide variety of foods (burgers, veggies, fish fillets).
- 260g Press Plate — an add-on plate that increases the weight for a deeper press, great for steak, chicken breast, and thicker cuts of meat.
The Press Plate is also available separately, so you can stack multiple plates for even more weight and versatility.
- Preheat your pan or grill.
- Place your food in the pan (burger patty, steak, veggies, fritters, etc.).
- Position the Protein Press on top.
- Add the Press Plate if you want extra weight or a stronger char.
- Cook as usual, flipping when needed.

Yes! The set includes a Press Plate so you can adjust the weight depending on what you're cooking. Need more? Additional plates can be stacked for heavy proteins and thick cuts.
No need, it comes naturally pre-seasoned with non-GMO rice bran oil. Like our pans, the seasoning only gets better with use, creating a natural non-stick layer and enhancing flavour over time.

Yes, but it pairs best with our grill pans for achieving an incredible sear. The flat base also works beautifully with skillets and griddles.
