  • 100% made in Australia, from clean Aussie iron. Wrought from a single sheet of clean Australian iron, and manufactured in Sydney.
  • Suitable for all heat sources, indoors and out.  From the stovetop, into the oven, and outdoors in the pizza oven or over the campfire.
  • No synthetic, toxic coatings. You won't find any toxic chemical coatings on our pans. Just clean iron with real natural seasoning, as it's been done for centuries.
  • Seasoned for you. Our iron pans come naturally seasoned with non-GMO rice bran oil, so you can get straight to cooking. This is not a synthetic coating, so the seasoning will change and develop with every cook! That's the beauty of seasoned iron - it's forever renewable.
  • Multi-century warranty. Say hello to your new family heirloom! This pan will be the centre of your family meals, for generations to come.

Our AUS-ION™(wrought iron) and our nöni™(non-nickel stainless steel) ranges are designed to complement each other. Together they will cover all of your cooking needs and each have their own unique advantages. Familiarise yourself with the two ranges here.

Quality Quality Quality

Yes the price is up there, but if you add up all the money you have wasted over the years buying crap cook wear. Think of the environment and most importantly your health, you only live once. I decided to buy the 31cm heavy duty model, and I'm not disappointed at all, yes, its heavy but it's a magnificent piece of art. Can't wait to buy the Crepe pan to go on top.

New to cast iron!

By: on 8 February 2025
I’m very new to cast iron and have always been afraid to purchase so this is my first time buying. I have only had a chance to use it once but so far I do love it and have already thrown away my other pans. It was sturdy to cook with and cleaned up nicely. It came with instructions which I followed on how to clean and I washed, dried with a tea towel and then put it on my stovetop for a few minutes before using a small drop of oil. I look forward to using it many more times as I cook a lot and we don’t eat takeaway very often.

Family favourite

By: on 3 February 2025
The XHD 31cm pan is a family favourite at our place, it gets used almost daily. I love how thick and heavy duty it is, it has a feel more similar to heavy cast iron pans (without being as heavy) than the lightning pans if you’re looking for that kind of feel. Don’t be afraid of the maintenance of these pans (seasoning), there are full instructions on the website to follow but I do what many people do, after washing I make sure to dry my pans well (first a tea towel then several minutes on a low heat on the stove) and then smear a very tiny drop of oil over the surface. I have a cotton dishcloth I use for this purpose. Oiling the pan protects it from rusting. It’s as easy as that!

Big and sturdy

By: on 2 February 2025
My first Solidteknics purchase! It’s been great to cook with and the seasoning is developing nicely. I’d love to oven season this all over but it’s too long for my small oven, it’s also super heavy so it mostly stays out on my stovetop. My next purchase will be the large crepe pan which also works as a lid for this one!

superb Australian-made cookware

I have loved cooking with this frypan, both on gas and induction. No horrible synthetic non-stick coating to come off in your food, yet cleans up easily. My kids are looking forward to inheriting it!

You’ll never go back to a “normal” pan after using these. I have 2 different sizes now and they will literally last me forever.

Zero regrets

By: on 1 February 2025
Could not love this frypan more! Big enough for family meals, but somehow also fine for a two egg omelette. With only a minimal amount of care, the surface outperforms any nonstick pan I’ve ever had (and I’ve had many, because they don’t last long!), without the nasty chemicals. I make pancakes in this every weekend and they slide right off, and we cook dinner in it nearly every night. In fact, it doesn’t ever get put away and lives permanently on our stove! Anything that gets cooked on that doesn’t scrub off in the sink, I just scrape off with a metal utensil (with reckless abandon), and carry on. Now I’m saving my money to buy several more sizes.
