Our nöni™ Material
Australian-made nöni™ is a genuine world-first in cookware. It's made from ferritic (highly conductive) non-nickel stainless steel. This material is custom made for us in Germany.
Unlike common stainless steel cookware, there are no clad layers or synthetic coatings. Our nöni™ cookware contains no heavy metals, and are solid one-piece pans with no joins, screws or rivets. Superior conductivity and built to last for generations.
Why Non-Nickel?
Common stainless steel (18/8 or 18/10) contains nickel, which can leach into food during cooking — a concern particularly for people with nickel sensitivities. Ferritic stainless steel contains little to no nickel, making nöni™ the healthier choice for everyday cooking.
How Does nöni™ Cook?
Because ferritic stainless steel is nearly twice as conductive as common austenitic stainless steels, nöni™ heats up faster and more evenly. This means less energy, less hot spots, and better results. It also means nöni™ is naturally magnetic and works perfectly on induction cooktops.
Cleaning & Maintenance
nöni™ requires no seasoning and is dishwasher safe, though we recommend hand washing for best results. It's perfect for acidic foods like tomato sauces, citrus, and wine, which would strip the seasoning from iron cookware.
What Can I Cook in nöni™?
nöni™ is incredibly versatile. Use it for frying, sautéing, boiling, steaming, braising, baking, and more. It works on all heat sources and transitions seamlessly from stovetop to oven to table. It's particularly well suited to wet and acidic cooking — soups, stocks, curries, pasta, and sauces.
