Yes. Instead of traditional lids, Solidteknics makes matching skillet-lids that work as both a lid and a pan.
The team at Solidteknics is often asked whether we sell lids to go with our durable, coating-free cookware. Our visionary founder and product development engineer, Mark Henry, carefully considered adding lids to the range. After some thought, he came to a logical conclusion: why make a lid when you can make a skillet that doubles as a lid?
And so matching skillet-lids were born.

Why a skillet-lid?
We are serious about being the WORLD leader in healthy and durable cookware. Our pan lids are totally unique — made from the same highly conductive material as our pans and can serve as high-performance skillets/pans/griddles in their own right.
Unlike less versatile pan lids, our lid style does not 'seal' shut, and it's important to hold both sets of handles when moving the pan around. This was because, for our lids to double as skillets and retain their strong ability to conduct heat, they needed to be made from a single sheet of the same material as our pans: wrought iron or stainless steel.
How does "flip to fit" work?
Flip the skillet-lid over to add extra height, so you can fit more into your saucepan or frypan.
It's one of the cleverest parts of the design. So, if it doesn't fit — flip!
Which Solidteknics sets come with a skillet-lid?
Our pairings include the nöni™ 6L Rondeau + 33cm Skillet-Lid, the AUS-ION™ 31cm XHD 2pc Set, and the nöni™ 2.5L Saucepan + 23cm Skillet-Lid.

nöni™ 6L Rondeau + 33cm Skillet-Lid Set (Dutch oven)
A mighty pair. This multi-purpose Dutch oven has a lid that doubles as a high-performance shallow skillet, crêpe pan, baking tray or griddle.
It's made from ferritic stainless steel, which is more conductive than the commonly used austenitic stainless steel, for fast, even heating.
- 6L Rondeau base: use it alone for pasta, casseroles, stocks, soups and curries
-
33cm skillet-lid: fries, serves or grills alongside.
AUS-ION™ 31cm XHD 2pc Set
The ultimate heavy-duty workhorse set: a 4mm-thick, 31cm skillet with a matching skillet-lid.
- Best for: everyday frying, grilling and baking, indoors and outdoors
-
The lid on its own: frying veggies and meat, crêpes and eggs.
nöni™ 2.5L Saucepan + 23cm Skillet-Lid Set
This set cooks like iron and cleans like stainless steel. The lid doubles as a high-performance skillet, perfect for frying and grilling.
- Non-nickel stainless steel
- No synthetic coatings — PFAS-free
- Dishwasher-friendly.
Which other Solidteknics pans can be used as lids?
Some pieces weren't designed as lids but pair nicely thanks to matching dimensions: for example, the 35cm Bigga Pan works as a lid for the 35cm Dual Handle Wok and Deepa.

Are Solidteknics skillet-lids built to last?
Yes. Like all our cookware, skillet-lids are made in Sydney, Australia, from a single piece of iron or stainless steel, and backed by a multi-century warranty.
- One piece of metal — no rivets or welds
- No synthetic coatings
- Designed to stay at the heart of your family meals for generations

FAQ
Do Solidteknics pans come with lids?
Solidteknics makes matching skillet-lids rather than traditional lids. They're sold individually or in sets, and double as skillets, griddles and crêpe pans.
Can a skillet-lid be used as a frying pan?
Yes. Each skillet-lid is made from the same wrought iron or stainless steel as our pans, so it works as a high-performance skillet or griddle on its own.
Do Solidteknics skillet-lids seal?
No. Skillet-lids don't seal shut, so always hold both sets of handles when moving a lidded pan.
Can the Bigga Pan be used as a wok lid?
Yes. The 35cm Bigga Pan fits the 35cm Dual Handle Wok and works well as a lid thanks to its matching dimensions.
Are nöni™ skillet-lid sets dishwasher safe?
Yes. nöni™ stainless steel is dishwasher-friendly, so the nöni™ saucepan and skillet-lid sets can go in the dishwasher.
