InversionEdge™ Pro Sharpening System | Solidteknics

The InversionEdge™ Pro is a patent-pending Japanese water-stone sharpening system, developed by Solidteknics founder Mark Henry to let anyone achieve razor-sharp, professional edges at home. It suits both Western (double-bevel) and Japanese (single-bevel/chisel) knives — and it's the recommended way to sharpen single-bevel blades such as the Söliditi™ range.

What's in the Set

  • 1 x Naniwa™ Ultrafine 3000/8000 grit combination water stone
  • 1 x Naniwa™ Coarse 220/1000 grit combination water stone
  • 1 x 31 x 29cm, 3mm ferritic stainless steel tray (doubles as a baking tray)
  • 2 x stainless 'Love Handle' clips for setting stone angles
  • 4 x rubberised 8000-grit magnets (also act as a finishing strop)

How It Works

The stainless tray has a different angled platform at each end — one for fine, narrow Japanese edges and one for broader Western edges — and the clips and magnets hold the stone and blade so the angle stays consistent. That takes the human error out of freehand stone work, giving accurate, repeatable double- or single-bevel edges with genuine water-stone results.

Use Cases

  • Restoring worn or dull knives with the coarse 220/1000 stone
  • Refining to a razor, mirror-polished edge with the 3000/8000 stone
  • Maintaining both Western and Japanese knives, including single-bevel blades

Why Sharpen, Not Replace

A quality knife kept sharp outlasts a drawer full of disposable blades. The InversionEdge™ Pro is built so a good knife stays keen for its entire life — sharpen it, don't bin it.
