400 Grit Diamond Sharpener Head | Solidteknics Modüla™ Sharpening

The 400-grit Diamond Sharpener Head is the coarse, edge-setting stage of the Solidteknics sharpening system. It's the head for real work — re-profiling a very dull or damaged edge and setting a fresh bevel before you refine it with finer grits.

The Grit

At 400 grit, this is a coarse sharpening surface: it removes metal quickly to repair chips, re-establish a bevel and revive neglected blades. Follow with the 1000 and 2000 grit heads to sharpen and polish.

How It Works

The head is a one-piece pass-through sharpener made from spring steel with an industrial diamond coating. Its flexible fingers are engineered to a precise 20°, so a few light pull-throughs set a clean, symmetrical 20° edge — no rods, stones or angle-guessing required.

Works With

Part of the Modüla™ pass-through diamond sharpening system (the Trilobite™ bench mount holds it steady; sold separately). Note: the Modüla™ sharpeners suit double-bevel knives, not the single-bevel Söliditi™ range. It's the first step in a coarse-to-fine progression.

When to Use It

Reach for the 400-grit head when a knife is badly dull, chipped or has lost its edge geometry — it does the heavy lifting so the finer heads can finish the job.
