The AUS-ION™ Polished 30cm BIGGA Frypan is a family-sized, dual-handle iron pan crafted from a single solid sheet of Australian wrought iron and precision-polished for smoother cooking from the very first use. Its wide surface and twin handles are built for feeding a crowd and moving from stovetop to oven — with no seasoning break-in, no coatings and no rivets.
Where classic AUS-ION™ iron uses a fine surface texture to anchor seasoning over time, the Polished surface is engineered with fewer microscopic peaks and valleys — oil spreads more evenly and food releases more easily, straight out of the box. It is not a coating, just precise polishing. No seasoning is required, the pan is easier to clean and more rust-resistant than traditional seasoned iron, and the exterior is factory-seasoned to protect against rust. A natural patina can still build over time if preferred.
The pan is seamless, one-piece wrought iron — no rivets, no welds, no coatings. It is naturally non-toxic with no synthetic coatings and no leaching, lighter and more responsive than cast iron, and finished with dual handles for easy lifting of a big, full pan. A carefully engineered concave in the base allows for metal expansion when heated.
Compatible with all heat sources: induction, gas, electric and ceramic cooktops, ovens, BBQs, pizza ovens and open flame. With no seasoning layer to strip away, it also handles acidic ingredients without harm.
Hand wash only: rinse with warm water (no soap needed), dry thoroughly, scrub in a circular motion following the grain of the polish, and wipe with a very thin layer of oil after each use. The polished surface dulls naturally with use and the shine can be restored anytime with a scourer worked along the circular grain.
