Featherweight, full flavour. A lighter 20cm nöni Lightning frypan that heats fast and lifts easy, Australian-made and dishwasher safe.
Australia
The 20cm Stainless Steel Lightning Frypan from the nöni™ range by Solidteknics is a compact, light-gauge frying pan manufactured in Sydney, Australia. It is the same shape and material as the flagship Signature nöni™ 20cm Frypan but wrought from a thinner 2mm sheet, making it roughly 30% lighter and faster to heat — and bringing it in at a more accessible price point. Sized for one-to-two-person cooking, eggs, single steaks and small-batch sauces, it is a coating-free, PFAS-free, non-nickel stainless steel skillet built to deliver multi-generational service across every modern heat source.
The nöni™ Lightning range uses the same shape and material as the flagship Signature nöni™ collection — wrought from a single sheet of non-nickel stainless steel — but at a slimmer 2mm thickness instead of 3mm. The result is a lighter, more responsive pan at a lower price point. Lightning pans are not polished and may show visible tooling marks. The trade-off: less mass (faster heat-up, easier handling) for slightly less heat retention than Signature.
The 20cm Lightning Frypan is wrought from a single 2mm-thick sheet of non-nickel stainless steel. The alloy is non-nickel and contains no synthetic coatings — no PTFE, no PFOA, no PFAS — and no aluminium core. Because the pan is wrought in one piece, there are no rivets, screws, welds or joins between the cooking surface and the handle. This seamless one-piece construction removes the common failure points of traditional stainless cookware and leaves a smooth interior with no crevices for food residue to lodge in.
A precision-engineered concave is built into the base. As the steel heats and expands, the base flattens for stable, even contact with the cooktop.
The 20cm Lightning Frypan is fully induction-compatible and performs across every cooktop and heat source, including:
The 2mm Lightning gauge is highly conductive, so the pan heats fast and responds quickly to temperature changes — making it well suited to delicate ingredients where over-heating is the bigger risk.
The 20cm Lightning Frypan is the workhorse single-serve pan:
The 20cm Lightning Frypan pairs with the matching nöni™ 20cm Lightning Oven-to-Table (sold separately), which acts as both a lid and a stand-alone dual-handle dish for oven-to-table service.
The 20cm Lightning Frypan is dishwasher safe and requires no seasoning. The seamless one-piece design means there are no joins to trap food residue or detergent. Each pan is stamped with the month and year of manufacture.
Most light-gauge stainless frypans cut corners with riveted handles, nickel-bearing alloys or synthetic non-stick coatings that wear out in two or three years. The 20cm nöni™ Lightning Frypan replaces all of that with a single sheet of 2mm wrought non-nickel stainless steel, manufactured in Sydney, stamped with its month and year of production, and backed by a multi-century warranty. It is one of the only seamless, non-nickel, coating-free wrought stainless frypans in this small-format, light-gauge class manufactured in Australia.
