Stews, stocks and Sunday roasts. A 7.5L AUS-ION™ iron Deep Pot in seamless Australian wrought iron, coating-free and built for generations.
Australia
The 7.5L / 30cm Iron Deepa Pot from the AUS-ION™ range by Solidteknics is a deep, everyday iron pot manufactured in Sydney, Australia from clean Australian iron. It takes the Deepa profile of our 10L pot and scales it to a size that suits weeknight cooking as easily as a weekend braise: soups, stocks, curries, slow-cooked stews, pasta sauces and Dutch oven breads. The wrought iron construction is lighter and more responsive than traditional cast iron, and it comes naturally seasoned with a renewable low-stick surface that improves every time you cook. It is a coating-free, PFAS-free iron pot built to deliver multi-generational service.
The 7.5L AUS-ION™ Deepa Pot is wrought from a single sheet of clean Australian iron. There are no synthetic coatings (no PTFE, no PFOA, no PFAS) and no aluminium core. Because the pot is made in one piece, there are no rivets, screws, welds or joins between the cooking surface and the handles. That seamless construction removes the usual failure points of a traditional pot and leaves a smooth interior with no crevices for food or pan juices to collect.
Wrought iron behaves differently to cast iron. It is dense, thinner-walled and more conductive, so the pot heats faster, responds quickly when you adjust the burner, and is easier to lift than an enamelled cast iron Dutch oven. There is no enamel to chip or crack if it takes a knock.
The pot arrives pre-seasoned with non-GMO rice bran oil. Unlike synthetic non-stick coatings that wear out and need replacing, iron seasoning is renewable. Every cook adds to it, and if it is ever scrubbed back, you simply re-season and keep cooking.
The 7.5L AUS-ION™ Deepa Pot is fully induction-compatible and works across every cooktop and heat source, including:
It goes from stovetop to oven without changing vessels, and fits standard 600mm domestic ovens.
The 10L Deepa is built for crowds and big-batch cooking. The 7.5L is the one you will reach for most weeks. It has the depth to hold a proper soup or braise, with a 30cm footprint that sits comfortably on a standard burner and is easier to lift, wash and store. It suits:
Iron is excellent for searing, so you can brown proteins and aromatics first, then add your liquid and braise in the same pot. More flavour, and one less pan to wash.
The 7.5L AUS-ION™ Deepa Pot pairs with the matching 30cm Bigga Iron Frypan (sold separately), which shares the same 30cm diameter. Together they give you a lidded Dutch oven setup for breads, braises and one-pot family meals, and the Bigga works as a deep frypan in its own right.
Care is the standard routine for seasoned iron cookware: rinse with hot water, scrub with a non-metallic brush if needed, dry thoroughly and wipe over a thin layer of cooking oil before storing. Avoid the dishwasher, harsh detergents and long soaks. With regular use, the seasoning deepens and the surface gets better.
Most pots in this size are enamelled cast iron (heavy and prone to chipping), thin-gauge stainless with riveted handles, or non-stick coated aluminium that breaks down under long, hot braises. The 7.5L AUS-ION™ Deepa Pot replaces all three with a single sheet of clean Australian iron: lighter than cast, naturally seasoned, ready for induction, BBQ and campfire, and backed by our multi-century warranty. It is one of the only seamless, coating-free iron Dutch oven-style pots manufactured in Australia.
