The Bigga is wrought in Sydney from a single sheet of Aussie iron in a one-piece construction — no joins, screws or rivets. The sturdy dual handles are ergonomic and vented to stay cool on the stovetop, making heavy, fully loaded cooking easier to manage, and the short profile slips into ovens where a long-handled pan will not. A carefully engineered concave in the base allows for metal expansion when heated, each pan is stamped with its month and year of manufacture, and a reusable calico storage bag is included.

Care is simple: after each use, rinse with warm water, dry thoroughly and apply a light coat of oil; no soap needed. Store in a dry place. A patchy appearance on arrival or in use is completely normal for seasoned iron.

Bigga vs the Standard 30cm Frypan

Both share a 30cm diameter, but they solve different problems. The standard 30cm frypan runs a long single handle and 3mm body for stovetop-first cooking, while the Bigga's 39cm dual-handle format and thicker 4mm body suit oven work, heavier loads and oven-to-table serving. Its 25cm stovetop contact surface is also the wider of the two, giving extra flat searing area for steaks, chickens and roasts.
