The team at Solidteknics are often asked whether we sell lids to go with our durable, healthy cookware. As a company who are at the forefront of innovative cookware, our visionary, founder and product development engineer, Mark Henry is always looking ahead at versatile way to improve how we cook.
Mark carefully considered adding lids to our range. After some thought, he came to a logical conclusion: Why make a lid when you can make a skillet that doubles as a lid? It was then that matching skillet-lids were born!
We are serious about being the WORLD leader in healthy and durable cookware. Our pan lids are totally unique. They are made from the same highly conductive material as our pans and can serve as high-performance skillets/pans/griddles in their own right.
Solidteknics is always adding new pieces to our healthy cookware collection. While some of our pans do not currently have a matching skillet-lid, they are thoughtfully designed in a standard pan size to make it easier to find a suitable companion. If you can't find a lid to add to your Solidteknics collection, opt for a suitable one made from durable and healthy material likes ours, either online or from a good kitchenware store. Check out our reputable stockists in your area.
Unlike less versatile pan lids, our lid style does not 'seal' shut, and it's important to hold both sets of handles when moving the pan around to avoid the lid slipping. This was because, for our lids to double as skillets and for them to retain their strong ability to conduct heat, they needed to be made from a single sheet of the same material as our pans: wrought iron or stainless steel.
The durability and weight of our skillet lids ensure they function in all the ways a lid should. They are guaranteed to add unparalleled versatility to your cooking routine.
The incredible ingenuity of our skillet lids is that you can quickly flip them over to achieve more pan height. This unique design will allow you to fit more into your saucepan or fry pan. So, if it doesn't fit, flip!
Naturally, our skillet lids come in highly convenient sets that will help you make the most of your cooking.
A mighty pair! Who wouldn't want a multi-purpose Dutch oven whose lid doubles as a high-performance shallow skillet, crêpe pan, baking tray, or griddle? The skillet can stand alone for all kinds of frying and grilling, making it a perfect companion for anywhere from the BBQ to the stovetop.
The nöni™ 6L Rondeau + 33cm Skillet Lid Set is made of ferritic stainless steel and is highly conductive and therefore energy efficient. It's also a far superior conductor of heat than the commonly used austenitic stainless steel, resulting in fast, even heating without hot spots.
Our nöni™ stainless steel range is absolutely ideal for wet and acidic foods. The 6L/33cm Rondeau base can be used alone as a large pot for pasta, casseroles, stocks/soups, and curries! Then, the skillet-lid can be turned either way up and used to fry your bread and other companion goodies or serve dishes.
Think of all the delicious soups and pasta you can make!
This is the ultimate heavy-duty workhorse set: a 4mm thick, 31cm skillet with a matching skillet-lid. Maintain the seasoning of this charming duo and develop the wonderful flavours unique to pure Aussie iron. Like the rest of our AUS-ION™ range, you can lovingly build the seasoning of your skillet lid by cooking with fats and oils.
It's absolutely fantastic for everyday frying, grilling, and baking indoors and outdoors!
With this set, convenience is key. Use the lid separately or with your skillet, depending on your needs. The lid has many stand-alone uses, from frying veggies and meat on the side to making perfect crêpes and eggs. It's all about making your cooking experience easier and more enjoyable.
You can also put the lid on your skillet to finish off veggies and meat, make a delicious sauce or keep your food hot.
This outstanding set cooks like iron and cleans like stainless steel. An absolute must-have for any kitchen that will save you much-needed time. The lid doubles as a high-performance skillet lid, perfect for frying and grilling tasty meals. It easily fits in the oven, allowing you to perform multiple cooking tasks seamlessly and efficiently.
Like all our nöni™ pans, these skillet lids are non-nickel. You won't find any toxic chemical coatings—just a solid, non-nickel stainless steel pan and skillet lid.
nöni™ is a tremendous low-maintenance cookware option that is dishwasher-friendly!
In addition, some notable pieces from our range weren't explicitly designed to be used as lids but go together nicely due to their similar dimensions. An example of this is our 35cm Bigga Pan, which can be used as a lid for our 35cm Dual Handle Wok. Similarly, our Oven to Table Pan can also be paired with the matching nöni™ 28cm Lightning Frypan to work as a base and lid for even greater versatility! (See image below).
Say hello to your new family heirlooms! All our cookware is made right here in Sydney, Australia. Like the rest of our cookware, our skillet lids are designed to last the test of time and are made of a single piece of highly conductive material (either stainless steel or iron).
They do not contain toxic synthetic coatings, rivets, or welds that might break down and fail (as is often the case with cheap lids containing plastic parts). Our skillet lids are highly convenient and will add great flexibility to your cooking routine. You can use them to cook on all heat sources, from the stovetop (including induction!) to the oven and outdoors in the pizza oven or over the campfire.
Our cookware comes with a multi-century warranty, meaning these pieces will remain at the heart of your family meals for generations.
